A great desert tour of 5 days from the beautiful Ouarzazate city to the dunes of Erg Chigaga via Zagora and the little Berber village of Taznakht, known for its famous Berber rugs.

During this exciting experience, you’ll spend an unforgettable night in the middle of the desert dunes, and you will have the chance to leave an immersive dining experience around the campfire and under the rhythm of Sahara nomad’s music.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Ouarzazate – Erg Lihoudi Dunes

After breakfast, we will start our desert trip to Erg Lihoudi dunes, we will cross the kasbah of Tamnougalte, located on the old caravan route between the mountains and the river, then we will head to the town of Zagora for lunch, before continuing to the Erg Lihoudi camp where you will spend your first night in the desert.

Day 2: Erg Lihoudi – M’hamid & Erg Chigaga Dunes

We continue our desert adventure to Erg Chigaga, passing through the village of M’hamid el Ghizlane, we will stop for lunch before taking a 3-hour drive to reach Erg Chigaga desert camp.
Once you get there, you will have the chance to ride camels across the largest dunes of Morocco desert, you will certainly admire the beauty of the sunset over the golden dunes before returning to your camp for an outstanding dinner under the starry sky.

Day 3: Erg Chigaga Dunes – Tadoudant

You can wake up early if you would like to watch the sunrise. After breakfast, we will start our journey to the town of Traoudant, we will drive through a fascinating stony desert, the famous Iriqui lake, Foum Zguid, then we will reach the lovely village of Taznakht, known for its legendary Berber Rugs. We will stop for lunch and visit a local production cooperative for rugs, then we continue our journey to the town of Taroudant, where we will spend the 3rd night of our desert adventure.

Day 4: Taroudant – Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou

After breakfast, we will first visit the old Medina of Taroudante, then we will take the direction of the spectacular Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou where hundreds of Hollywood movies were shot, like Babel, the Mummy and Gladiator.

On the road to Ait Ben Haddou you will visit incredibly amazing places like the fabulous village of Taliouine, known as the capital of saffron. Then we will reach the Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, where we will spend the night and have dinner at Berber guest house.

Day 5: Kasbah Aït Ben Hadddou – Ouarzazate

On the last day of this unforgettable desert tour, we will have a guided visit to explore the wonders of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, elegantly nestled along Ouarzazate river, then we will head to the town of Ouarzazate for lunch and if you have enough time, we may visit Kasbah Taourirt and a cinema studio…
End of the tour with a drop-off at your hotel in Ouarzazate.
